Thank you all for the love yesterday 🩷 I know Gremlin’s ear being snipped isn’t going to affect her quality of life, but as a kitty who was born with a tiny jaw, I just feel so bad we have to take another piece of her after so many years. And I hate that I can’t explain it to her. 🥺 We will hopefully get it done soon 🫶

We just got back from the vet and while it’s not great news, it’s not end of the world news either.

Every vet at my clinic agreed that the weird black spot that’s been developing on Gremlin’s ear could be problematic. And because of its location and size, aspirating for cells isn’t an option. They are going to cut off her ear tip to then have it analyzed so we can know what it is for sure. 😔

I was worried that was going to be the case, and am sooooo sad that my girl is going to lose a piece of her ear, but I also realize it’s the best thing for her. I’m also super optimistic we caught anything that *could* be bad early enough that we can fix it.

Make sure to check your kitties for weird lumps and bumps, and trust your intuition if something seems off. 🙏 I’ll post a picture of Gremlin’s spot in the comments.
