NEW: The Colorado Democratic Party has formally condemned and censured Governor Jared Polis for granting clemency to Tina Peters.

As part of the censure, Polis is now barred from speaking at Colorado Democratic Party events and cannot be honored by the party.

According to party leaders, 90% of Colorado Democratic Party central committee members voted to reprimand Polis.

The extraordinary rebuke highlights the intense backlash over Polis’s decision to grant clemency to Peters, the former Mesa County clerk who became a prominent figure in election conspiracy circles after being convicted in connection with a voting system security breach.

🚨 BREAKING: A Republican congressman is raising serious alarms about Trump’s new $1.776 billion DOJ “anti-weaponization fund.”

Pennsylvania GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick has become the first Republican to publicly challenge the scheme, sending a letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche warning that the fund could operate with virtually no oversight from Congress.

“I am writing to you to express my urgent concern surrounding the announcement of a newly formed ‘Anti-Weaponization Fund,’” Fitzpatrick wrote. “A massive discretionary fund, with no oversight or approval from Congress, represents a dangerous backsliding in the transparency of our institutions and our commitment to the American taxpayer.”

The fund was created as part of the Trump DOJ’s controversial settlement with Trump, and could be used to compensate individuals who claim they were victims of so-called “lawfare” — including convicted January 6 rioters and Trump allies.

Even members of Trump’s own party are now questioning whether this $1.8 billion slush fund is legal, constitutional, and an outrageous abuse of taxpayer dollars.
