Well. It’s been a month in Kentucky. Five weeks today actually! I still feel like we got here a week ago because time is passing in the most bizarre way right now. Y’all told me it would be a lot on my brain and body and soul and I was like nahhhhh it’ll be fine.
Point: you guys. Cause it’s been a whirlwind.
It’s also been awesome. We love the house, the neighborhood and Louisville. We are exploring slowly and can’t wait for the temp to go down so we can really spend sometime outside in our new city.
Turns out I don’t take many pics of us but take a million of the pets so I’m posting pics of our journey as told by the pets. The pets and I traveled up from Orlando and AC troubles meant an unscheduled stop in Valdosta,GA. We stayed with my parents new home in Atlanta for a few days (they moved one month before us!) where Brad joined us after a couple days. We finally headed on to Louisville and despite spending a couple hundred to have the AC fixed, it went out again. It was so annoying to have to stop and spend the night in Ringold, GA but the pets LOVED the hotel. After we napped off the frustration of the day we all came alive. I made the mistake of giving Alfie and Astrid nuggets and fries because ya know, it’s vacation. So now they think fries are for pets which has been tough. Thank goodness Arwen doesn’t like people food, at least one doesn’t equate McDonald’s to mealtime.
The pets have done incredible. It actually makes me teary to think about it. So much change and they have come out of it even more confident, loving and social than they were before. Alfred is loving all the new smells and trying to hunt down the woodchuck in our backyard.
Many more pics and stories to come. Thanks so much for everyone who has been messaging, texting and asking about us. We are tired, happy and loving this newly wed adventure. Did I mention tired? 😮💨
