Wooden wick candles are a little different than cotton wicks — and proper wick care makes ALL the difference.

If your candle won’t stay lit, the wick may be too long, too charred, or even flooded with too much melted wax from repeated relighting. Wooden wicks need a dry exposed edge to properly catch flame.

Before each burn:
✨️Trim or pinch off the burnt wood
✨️Keep wick trimmed to about 1/8”
✨️Remove loose charred pieces
✨️Hold flame to wick for 10–15 seconds
✨️If the wick gets flooded, let the candle cool and pour off a little excess wax before relighting.

A properly trimmed wick gives you a better flame, better scent throw, and that cozy crackling sound.
