Jordan Vandergriff put together a huge elimination-day performance in Epping, backing up his No. 1 qualifying effort with a run all the way to the Funny Car final.

He opened eliminations by taking out Jeff Arend, keeping the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet Camaro under control and moving into the second round. From there, Vandergriff delivered one of his strongest passes of the day, running 3.942 at 324.51 mph to defeat Chad Green’s 3.975 at 322.42 mph. In the semifinals, he matched up with J.R. Todd, and while Todd had the starting-line advantage, Todd ran into trouble early while Vandergriff powered through with a 3.982 at 316.52 mph to punch his ticket to the final.

Leah Pruett put together a standout weekend in Epping, proving once again that she and the TSR Top Fuel team are serious contenders. After qualifying No. 2 with an impressive 3.712 at 335.73 mph, Pruett carried that momentum into eliminations and kept stacking round wins.

She opened race day with a strong first-round victory over Scott Farley, then battled through a tricky second-round matchup against Maddi Gordon, pedaling the car and doing what she needed to do to keep her day alive. Pruett followed it up by advancing past Billy Torrence in the semifinals, earning a spot in the Top Fuel final against points leader Shawn Langdon.
