I received the first piece of positive feedback today, and it seems like people are starting to notice a change, which is really exciting! I’ve also come to realize that not everyone who shares information does so with the best intentions; some enjoy playing both sides. Nonetheless, I believe it's important to share positive observations. During my brief visits to the shelter and events, I noticed some encouraging signs as well. I’m committed to staying neutral and curious as we move forward. I will share from reputable sources without conflicting interests. At the very least staff are happy.

There has been a notable increase in the number of stray dogs in the area, including those that have recently been adopted from CCHS. This situation has raised concerns among locals, as both the shelter and area rescues are currently overwhelmed by the number of animals in their care.

A community member messaged the page. They are trying to connect with the Cass County Councilman's board of directors. Does anyone know who and how to reach them?

CCHS is currently under contract with the city and county.

City contract animal control agreement revenue of $137,000 each year. This is a quarterly paid agreement.

A recent contract with the county has been in place. CCHS receives $$350 per animal taken in from the county.

Transparency is fundamental for success! The Community deserves to be involved.

Three open spots are available on the CCHS Board of Directors. Which needs to be filled. This is a required term to hold the current status. Natalie Baldining is the new executive director for CCHS. Freeing up her spot on the board since staff cannot be part of the board of directors due to conflict of interest.

Becoming a board member of CCHS has its perks. Such as scheduled 3-day weekend retreats, which CCHS pays for under operation funds. Funds allocated from the city and county contract agreement funding for servicing Cass County and the City of Logansport.

Ask CCHS how to become part of the board of directors.

Oh....

The county's stray animals now have a place to go. A contract between CCHS and the county is in place, with anticipated growth. However, adoption numbers significantly trail intake rates. Does this imply an increase in euthanasia rates? A reminder that there are three open spots available within the CCHS board that are required to be filled to remain in compliance. CCHS claims that volunteering is a prerequisite to joining the Board. However, staff shared on numerous occasions that all current board members have never volunteered. 🤣 Assume this to be another false response to excuse denying anyone who expresses interest in joining the CCHS board. The lies will catch up and the truth is coming to light. 🤔💡😮👀💔😠.

STOP THE LIES. OUR COMMUNITY DESERVES BETTER.

Natali Baldini is now CCHS shelters executive director. This opens another spot on the board.

A small town with a lot of ears and everything shared is shared again. If any information shared on this page is inaccurate, changes within CCHS will not be taking place. Or would they? Let's not forget the conflict of interest. Staff cannot be part of the board. Staff cannot have voting rights. Eleven board members are required currently, and for quite some time, there have only been nine. But this will change soon. Here is a thought. Maybe Logansport City Councilman and County Animal Control should consider the interest of Fulton County's Animal Center and Shelter in taking over both contracts.
