Title: My Real Deep Web Experience β 9 Years Ago
As with most stories like this, it all started about 9 years ago. I was a teen, the kind whoβd rather stay home from school and spend all day on the internet. I was always curious, and honestly? I liked things that spooked me a little.
Thatβs when I came across the topic of the d@rk w3b. At first, I thought it was fakeβjust internet myth. But after some digging, I learned how to download the T*r browser on my phone. I knew the risks, but I figuredβ¦ eh, I like to take chances.
So I started clicking through links from The Hidden Wiki, Danielβs links, and similar directories. Most of it was what you'd expectβstuff about dr*gs, w*apons, strange services. I avoided anything illegal or disturbing like the plague, especially stuff that crosses serious lines.
I eventually found a few forumsβjust random people posting dark fantasies and bizarre stories. Creepy, but I was into horror, so I read a few. Then I logged off and went to bed.
The next day, I got home from school and got a call from an unknown number. I usually ignore those, but I answered just in case it was important.
There was silence for about five secondsβ¦ then I heard low whispering or mumbling. No clear wordsβjust enough to feel off. I immediately thought back to the d@rk w3b visit the night before. Could someone be watching me? Was it a warning?
I got spooked and decided to stay off that side of the net for a while.
Months passed. I stayed awayβ¦ until the curiosity came back. I decided to see if there were any new hidden sites. I used a d@rk search engine and eventually came across a social network that seemed built for disturbed individuals. Against my better judgment, I made an accountβpurely out of curiosity.
The timestamps on posts were recent, which was unusual. I browsed around and quickly realized it was a hub for content I never wanted to seeβpeople posting about vile urges, with threads filled with g*re and horrible photos. Some of the ...
