I finally understand the weather! Seriously. These books are for kids AND 50-year-olds who had really sh*tty science teachers in high school. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

(Also, I’ve had a lot of books inscribed for me over the years, , but yours knocked them all right out atmosphere where a low pressure system is brewing and a cold front is moving in.)

Going through some of my dad’s old books that I’ve had for ages (he was an underliner and a Kafka fan — just like me), and I found 2 absolute treasures: a card for a restaurant he visited in France and memorabilia from a Coltrane gig at the San Francisco Jazz Workshop in 1963.

Filed under: Things You Don’t Find Inside Kindles.

Postscript: That restaurant was given 3 Michelin stars in 1975. The chef committed su***de in 2003 amidst concerns about the potential loss of one of his stars.

So excited to read Sandra Miller’s first novel, WEDNESDAYS AT ONE. (Picked up at my local B&N — cheers, !) Inspired at least in part by Sandra’s psychologist husband (who you may remember from Miller’s memoir, published by us in 2019), WEDNESDAYS is a psychological thriller about a therapist on the verge of losing everything & the mysterious “unscheduled client” who brings it all to a head. So many congrats, .a.miller! Proud to say I knew you when. 😘
