Another Shooting Reported in Long Beach as Violence Continues

A woman was hospitalized early Wednesday morning after being struck by gunfire in North Long Beach, marking yet another violent incident as the city continues to grapple with recent shootings and stabbings.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3:21 a.m. on July 15, 2026, to the 6700 block of Long Beach Boulevard regarding a hit-shooting.

Preliminary investigators determined an unknown suspect fired multiple shots in the direction of an adult female victim, striking her. Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect information has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The latest shooting comes amid a string of recent violent crimes across Long Beach, including multiple shootings, stabbings, and last weekend’s officer-involved shooting in Bixby Knolls, where an off-duty Long Beach police officer was reportedly approached by armed robbery suspects, robbed at gunpoint, and fired his weapon during the confrontation.

Despite the recent increase in violent incidents, critics argue that city officials continue to focus on messaging that crime is declining while residents continue to witness shootings, stabbings, and other violent crimes occurring across the city.

The Long Beach Amphitheater does not have on-site parking. Guests who purchase the official parking pass will park at the Long Beach Convention Center Parking Lot and take a shuttle to and from the venue.

Your parking pass should include information about where to park and where to board the shuttle. Shuttles will run before and after the event to transport guests between the Convention Center and the amphitheater.

If you do not purchase the official parking pass, you can park elsewhere in downtown Long Beach and make your own way to the venue by rideshare, or public transportation.

🔥 Protester’s Testicle Shattered by Close-Range Rubber Bullet During LA ICE Protest

A 33-year-old man, Martin Santoyo, was shot in the groin with a rubber bullet by law enforcement during protests against ICE raids in downtown Los Angeles.

Key Facts:
• The incident occurred on Monday near Temple Street.

• Santoyo had just gotten off his bicycle in the crowd when authorities moved forward.

• He was grabbing a water bottle from his backpack when officers began pushing the group and shouting “Move back!”

• Santoyo says he told an officer he was already moving back, and an officer standing approximately 2-3 feet away fired a rubber bullet directly into his groin at close range.

• Injuries: Severely bruised left testicle and shattered right testicle. He underwent surgery.

• Santoyo was hospitalized, is now home but still in recovery, unable to walk, and doctors will reassess in 5-8 days.

Bystanders helped him receive medical attention amid continued pushing by authorities. He did not report hearing an “unlawful gathering” declaration beforehand.
