Eprill Vibes EVENTS, PLACES, THINGS I FIND CAPTIVATING (MY-KIND-OF โ€œTHE ART OF NOTICINGโ€)! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my little corner. Iโ€™m Eprill.

Iโ€™m not a vlogger, influencer, or anything fancy. Iโ€™m just a mom who loves capturing everyday magic and going on a little memory-making spree. I created this page as a kind of digital scrapbook for my kids. Itโ€™s a space where our adventures, both big and small, can live on beyond the camera roll. We all know how quickly photos and videos get buried in our phones (weโ€™ve all been there ๐Ÿ™ƒ), but here,

our memories get a chance to shine again. Iโ€™m also a big nature lover. Whether itโ€™s birdwatching, bug spotting, or simply soaking in the stillness (blame the Taurean in me ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒฟ), nature brings me a lot of joy. https://www.facebook.com/yeseverydaynature

While this page is mostly about family moments, I occasionally share thoughts on trends or topics that resonate with me, especially the ones that pop up in my feed and make me pause. Iโ€™m not here for followers or monetization. Iโ€™m here to savor lifeโ€™s little moments, create a legacy of love, and maybe spark a bit of joy or connection along the way. If you decide to follow, thank you. It truly means the world to share even a small part of this journey with you. โค๏ธ

In light of the Mother's Day debate with fur moms, I've seen comments calling for inclusivity and accusing mothers of being ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต (selfish) for not wanting to share the day. Before you scroll past, here's a fun fact worth knowing.

๐— ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ'๐˜€ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† was founded by ๐—”๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜€ in 1908 to specifically honor mothers, inspired by her own mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, a social activist who cared for wounded soldiers during the Civil War and created Mother's Day Work Clubs to address public health issues.

Here's the most ironic part. Anna herself never married and never had children. Yet she dedicated her entire life fighting for this day to have a specific and intentional meaning, all inspired by the sacrifices of her own mother.

She even spent her later years fighting AGAINST the commercialization of Mother's Day because it was straying too far from its original purpose, to honor the sacrifice and love of mothers.

So if the very founder of Mother's Day was this protective of its meaning, I think it's fair to say we should respect that.

And to the fur moms and fur parents calling for inclusivity, I hear you. But instead of reshaping a day that was built on a very specific kind of sacrifice, why not fight for your own day? Anna Jarvis did it. So can you. ๐Ÿพ

Joaquin recently turned 8, so naturally I went digging through the archives and found this gem. โ™ฅ๏ธ Ten months old in this video.

Happy, frustrated, fussy, and best of all, full-on giggling. All in one. Just me and my baby boy. I had no idea how fast it would go. ๐Ÿฅน
