Let's do another round of Meet your Photographer Monday! Today, I want to give you a peek into my world after the camera is done clicking. This is where the magic happens. After getting the photos uploaded to my computer, I ensure I have a backup of those files on a separate hard drive in case something happens to them. Then, I comb through the photos from the session to find the best images. After that, I bring them to life. It's a labor of love, but I want to make sure every photo tells your unique story. Throwback Thursday! This was from one of my first senior sessions. I remember being very nervous during this session, trying to think of poses, framing with my one good portrait lens, and scouting photo locations on the fly all at once. Thankfully, the bridge gets credit for helping with the leading lines! What's something you're curious about when it comes to photography?

I am still thinking about how not too long ago we got to squeeze in a Cap and Gown session for Gabrie right before graduation! We had a blast hanging out in a field and parking lot plus got to have a little bit of the GLAM light shine through despite the sun being ready to peace out at the end. It was the best being able to use a field for a photo location with permission. What I loved about this session was being able to have a photo session where Gabrie picked out and wanted to be and dodge a few sprinklers. What's your favorite shot from this session?

Starting a new series called 'Meet the Photographer Monday!'

I've been around the world of photography for most of my life, whether it's learning how a darkroom works in my dad's classroom, taking photos for the high school yearbook, or picking up the camera after over a decade to reconnect with the art form. What keeps me coming back is seeing what new things are possible to capture.

Summer is almost here, and you know what that means: sunburns, making memories (and some questionable life choices), late nights, and maybe new family photos that will make you go 'oh, we really need to update those'! With everyone growing up, life changes, and the kids out for the summer, now is a great time to think about updating those family art pieces... before they outgrow them again! 😂
