THIS SATURDAY! May I Put You on Hold is screening at the HollyShorts Film Festival—right here in Hollywood! We are so, so, SO excited.
HollyShorts is an Oscar-qualifying short film festival and an internationally recognized celebration of excellence in filmmaking.
Our screening is Saturday at 5 PM at the TCL Chinese Theatre, and we’re both going to be there. We can’t wait—hope to see you! Link in the bio for tickets.

A lot is happening for us this August!!!

1.) We iz actors!!!!
We’ve both got acting jobs coming up this month, so stay tuned for whatever BTS action we can share. Natalie is starting filming for her first lead role in a feature, and Tara is playing “Flight Attendant” in a music video. It’s working, guys… and so are we!

2.) May I Put You on Hold is a 2025 selection for HollyShorts!
More details coming in an upcoming post—and please forgive us when we brag about this one again because it definitelydeserves its own spotlight.

3.) Turns Out has been selected for a table read at the BroadHumor Film Festival!
4.) In the Event Of is screening at GeekFest Film Festival during Long Beach Comic Con!

We’ll have more details, dates, times, and how to get tickets to all the festival stuff soon.

So exactly how much money do you need for your feature film!?! Well, that’s a great question. No matter what size project you’re working on, two of the bigger components will be LOCATION and NUMBER of SHOOTING DAYS. Currently, we are attempting to nail down our locations and all costs associated with that. BUT how many days will we need to shoot? How many locations? How many days will each actor be needed? And how can we streamline all of that? That's where STRIPBOARDS come in. Don’t know what stripboards are or how they apply to your project? This week, we will attempt to shed some light on the subject and learn a few things ourselves.

We’re thrilled to announce that In the Event Of has been selected for GeekFest Film Festival!
Our first screening with them will be at Long Beach Comic Con, and you can bet your bottom dollar Tara will be there—with bells on… or more likely in a flight attendant uniform.
Long Beach Comic Con is going down August 30–31, and we’ll have more details on screening times soon.

Whew! We had an amazing July—screenings, Texas-sized adventures, incredible podcast interviews... Our lives are full, and we’re feeling motivated and inspired. Let’s take a moment to recap before we march full steam into August.

Yo! Big news—our screenplay, Turns Out, got into the Broad Humor Film Festival. There’s going to be a live table read in LA on August 29th, and we are thrilled. It’s been a while since we’ve heard our work read infront of an audience. Congrats to all you other broads out there, can’t wait to meet you!

Holy Smokes! We are beyond flattered to be a Quarterfinalist for the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards for our first feature, “Turns Out.” This is the first feature we’ve ever written and it means so much to us to have our work highlighted. We’ve treaded into some pretty uncomfortable creative territory taking our writing from sketch which was mostly mean for our eyes only to a full blown 92 page feature film. Thank you !
