There's a box on every job application that I can't fill in.

I've been applying for months and somehow street, city, zip are always required. You can't skip it, and you can't lie on it.

What would you do in my place?

Part 3 of 4: I trimmed my beard in a coffee shop bathroom because I canā€™t afford a $70/80 haircut. I bought a shirt and a blazer as I donated all of my ā€œprofessional clothesā€ before becoming homeless.
I did my research on the company. Then I went to a public library, paid for parking because I have nowhere to take a Zoom call from, and I was ready at 1:20. The interview was at 1:30 PM.

I did everything I could.

Part 2 of 4: I have no professional clothes anymore as I donated everything I owned because I donā€™t have enough space now. My entire life is in my trunk now. I also have nowhere quiet to take a Zoom call from. But I still managed to make it happen.

By the way, this was big company here in LA. Second round, with a senior partner. The assistant called three times to confirm, yesterday, that morning, 20 minutes before the interview.

Watch Part 3 for the rest of the story.

Very happy to announce that I directed a Kurdish rom-com with this lovely mixed cast! Special thanks to AnnašŸ¦‹ for trusting me to direct this brilliant script, written and produced by tiff ā†˜ļøŽ. I LOVE the story! Itā€™s a Newroz celebration!!! šŸ”„šŸ’ƒšŸ½

What I love the most about this story is that itā€™s written in English (with Kurdish dialogue included, in different dialects). The cast shows how beautiful our dialects sound and how inclusive we are as a community. I love being Kurdish and I will not stop telling more Kurdish stories that matter. I canā€™t wait for you to see it at film festivals.

I genuinely appreciate all the hard work of all the crew and cast that helped us bring another Kurdish story to life. The movie will soon be available for an international audience here in Los Angeles to be screened at film festivals.

Wish us luck! šŸ¤šŸ¤²šŸ½
