Rotten / Siouxsie, NFT

Happy to be working with Makersplace to release my first NFT's. I have kicked off with Rotten and Siouxsie over time I will be releasing 52 NFT images from my last exhibition, "The End of Generation X", at the Proud Gallery, London, in 2015. It will include; Johnny Rotten, The Clash The Damned, Paul Weller, Ian Dury, Peter Murphy, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, UB40 to name a few.

If you haven't checked what all this NFT mayhem is about you should check out some of the other work on there. Sure some of it is crap but nothing changes there. There is a new art movement exploding right now and like Punk many just don't get it...YET. The artists who benefit the most from NFTs are not the high flyers but creative unknowns who have been locked out of the "market" for years who can now build and interact with a community of fans and patrons, access a market without middlemen, have some fun and make some bucks. All good!

For Kevin’s first NFT release, OriginContent has created a special collectors package to mark the occasion. Each NFT is linked to a high resolution 1920 x 1080 video of each image. Each edition includes an exhibition quality 20*16 photographic print and a uniquely designed NFT certificate of authenticity mounted in a 6×8 acrylic block. You can pick it up, show it off or keep it on your desk. If you frame the print and hang it on the wall, it’s a match made in heaven!

I have recently been working with Tony Kaye in stealth mode for some time now on a very special NFT project, "The Little Grey Plastic Shiny Suitcase". On Friday, Tony introduced it to the world via the Goott Gallery, Los Angeles.

The NFT project is built around Tony's iconic movie "American History X" and the battle he fought against all odds to realize his vision. The film delivered a powerful message on racism; unfortunately, today, Tony's message has never been more relevant. This is NOT Hollywood memorabilia. During the making of the movie, Tony created an abundance of art, photography, paintings, drawings, music, poems, and lyrics. For over two decades, this valuable work sat in a little grey suitcase in the corner of Tony's studio, unopened and almost forgotten. "The Little Grey Plastic Shiny Suitcase" is not only a rare and valuable art collection but also an unfiltered insight into the genius of Tony Kaye and his relentless journey - told through his art - to make one of the most important films of our generation.

Piers Handling, CEO and director of the Toronto International Film Festival, says it best, "There are some people who don't really fit into the Hollywood structure, Tony's one of those guys. He's a renegade, an outsider — not unlike Orson Welles."
