🚨 ALABAMA EXECUTES MAN CONVICTED OF MUR*DERING 5-YEAR-OLD KAMARIE HOLLAND Jeremy Williams has been executed by lethal injection in Alabama for the horrific 2021 se*xual assault and murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland. Prosecutors said Williams arranged with Kamarie’s mother to gain access to the child in exchange for money. He se*xually abused the little girl, recorded the assault, and ultimately strangled her. Kamarie’s body was later discovered inside an abandoned house. Williams pleaded guilty to capital murder and was sentenced to death. In an unusual move for a death-row prisoner, he later waived additional legal challenges and asked for his ex*****on to move forward. He was executed Thursday evening. Whatever people believe about the death penalty, the most important name in this story is Kamarie Holland. She was only five years old. She deserved protection, safety, a childhood, and the chance to grow up. May Kamarie never be forgotten. 🕊️ 💬 Do you support the death penalty in cases involving the sexual assault and murder of a child? CrimeNews BreakingNews CurrentEvents

On December 14, 2012, 27-year-old first-grade teacher Victoria Soto was working at Sandy Hook Elementary School when a gunman entered the building. As he made his way toward her classroom, Soto hid her students — reportedly in a closet — and when the g*nman reached her, she told him the children weren’t there, in an attempt to send him elsewhere in the school. She was sh*t and k*illed trying to protect them. Several of her students survived. Soto was posthumously awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal, and a school in her hometown of Stratford, Connecticut was later named in her honor. Her family has spent the years since trying to make sure her name is never forgotten.

At just 14 years old, Oscar McCrae found himself in a situation most adults would struggle to handle. ❤️👏 While surfing at Saunton Sands in Devon, Oscar heard Gavin Bowden calling for help after a paddleboarding accident left him temporarily paralysed in the water. Drawing on years of surf lifesaving training, the teenager kept Gavin afloat, reassured him and made sure he stayed conscious for more than 30 minutes until the RNLI arrived. Gavin was able to leave the hospital just three days later. When the two reunited, he called Oscar his “guardian angel” and his hero. Fourteen years old, half an hour in the water, and calm when it mattered most. What a kid.

Ricky Jackson was just 18 in 1975 when he was convicted of m*rder and sentenced to d*ath, based almost entirely on the testimony of a 12-year-old boy. There was no physical evidence, no weapon, and no DNA linking him to the crime — just a coerced witness who was threatened by police into naming him. Jackson’s d*ath sentence was later commuted to life in prison, and he spent the next four decades behind bars maintaining his innocence. In 2013, the witness — by then 53 years old — finally admitted he’d lied, and had never actually seen the m*rder happen. Jackson walked free in 2014 at age 57, after 39 years, 3 months, and 9 days in prison — the longest wrongful imprisonment to end in exoneration in U.S. history.

A man vacationing at PortAventura in Spain was persuaded to ride Ferrari Land, the park’s fastest roller coaster, even though he already knew he was suffering from gastroenteritis. As the coaster launched and quickly reached speeds of nearly 200 km/h, his stomach simply couldn’t handle the intense acceleration and movement. By the time the ride reached its first loop, he had completely lost control. What followed turned into a nightmare for everyone on board. The contents of his stomach were sprayed across the ride, hitting 14 other passengers. Several of those riders reportedly began vomiting themselves after realizing what had landed on them, creating an unfortunate chain reaction throughout the coaster. No charges were filed because the incident was considered completely involuntary, and the man had no control over what happened. It’s a bizarre reminder that sometimes the most terrifying part of a roller coaster has nothing to do with the speed, height, or drops.

In 1994, a 17-year-old Boy Scout named David Hahn tried to build a nuclear reactor in his mother’s garden shed in Michigan. He came closer than anyone expected. After earning a merit badge in Atomic Energy, David became obsessed with building his own breeder reactor. He had no way to get real nuclear fuel, so he improvised. He pulled americium out of hundreds of smoke detectors, scraped radium off antique clocks, and took thorium from camping lanterns. To learn how to assemble it all, he wrote letters to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, pretending to be a science teacher. It never became a working reactor. But by the summer of 1994, the radiation in the shed was 1,000 times higher than normal, and could be detected several houses away. David realized he had lost control. He took the reactor apart and loaded it into his car. But local police, responding to a report of suspicious activity, searched his trunk. He warned them that some of the material was radioactive. The FBI, the EPA, and a federal nuclear emergency team were called in. Ten months later, men in protective suits tore down the shed and buried it in the Utah desert as radioactive waste. David refused to be tested for exposure. His life fell apart after that. His mother died two years later. He joined the Navy and served on a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, but was banned from going near the reactors. He was later diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. In 2007, he was arrested again. He had been stealing smoke detectors from his apartment building. David Hahn died in 2016, at 39. The autopsy found alcohol and fentanyl in his system. It had nothing to do with radiation.

Diagnosed at three. Beaten weeks after graduation. In late June 2015, a group of teenagers in New Baden, Illinois, got word to Gavin Joseph that they wanted to be his friends. Joseph had graduated from Wesclin High a few weeks earlier. He has Asperger's syndrome and ADHD, diagnosed when he was three, and he went to meet them. What was waiting was a circle of strangers who choked and punched him until, as they put it, he had learned his lesson. Some of them had been saying it was weird that he went to things alone and watched people, and creepy that he wanted to be friends with people he did not know. He came away with a mild concussion, a bruised esophagus, a fractured nose tip and a hematoma in one eye. Nothing permanent. Joseph did not press charges. What he asked for instead: that their community service be disability-related, that each of them write a paper on Asperger's syndrome, and that they sit down with their own families and watch a twenty-minute statement he recorded, so they would hear the evening from where he had stood. His mother, Cortnie Stone, put it on Facebook, and it went around the world within a week. Sources: Cortnie Stone, HuffPost, Global News, Bustle

They called her a MONSTER for trying to protect her baby. 🥺 When Brooke Atkins gave birth to her son Kingsley, he had a large port-wine stain covering half his face. It wasn't just a birthmark. It was Sturge-Weber syndrome & glaucoma - conditions that can lead to seizures, vision loss, and dangerous skin complications. Doctors recommended laser treatments to protect his skin and health, not for looks. So as a tiny baby, Kingsley started treatment. Brooke shared their journey to raise awareness. Instead, the internet judged her. "You are hurting him for vanity." "Monster mom." She cried reading those comments. What they didn't see was a mother sitting in a hospital chair, holding her baby's hand, doing exactly what doctors told her to do to give him the safest future. They saw a birthmark. She saw her baby. ❤️ Be kind. You never know the battle behind the story.

A tragic incident occurred in Houston, Texas, when 19-month-old J’Zyra Thompson passed away after being placed in an oven by her three-year-old siblings. The children’s mother, Racquel Thompson, and her boyfriend, Cornell Malone, left their four children — aged 19 months, three, three, and five — unattended in their apartment while they went out to pick up pizza and a prescription. During their absence, the two three-year-old children placed J’Zyra in the oven and turned it on, leading to burns. Upon returning, Thompson found the oven tipped over, with J’Zyra inside, and attempted CPR, but she was declared deceased at the scene. Both Thompson and Malone were charged with four counts of endangering a child, facing a maximum of two years in prison. The surviving children were placed into foster care, and the incident raised significant concerns about child supervision and safety. Is this an honest mistake, or criminal neglect?
