Steele Heroes Media was hired and McCall as Director of Photography for a documentary on the inventors of the sport of Mountain Biking and the inventors of the purpose built technologies of Mountain Biking at the Marin Museum of Bicycling and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. This is the co-inventor of the first ever purpose built mountain bike; Charlie Kelly. The bike he is pointing to is the bike he co-developed and is the second mountain bike ever built. The first one now resides in the Smithsonian.

With the rise of social media came the rise in individual visibility. More people are watching what we do than ever before. Yes, some of it can be nefarious but MOST of the visibility works to our advantage to pursue. This is never more true when you are considering you career. And for your career you must always be active and even pro-active in putting your best foot forward every step along the way. This can be accomplished many way such as podcasts, videos, and photography to name a key few.

For anyone just. beginning their journey of managing their social media presence, the easiest access point is photography.

Yes, it can be an effort but it truly is the most basic yet one of the most valuable investments you can make for your career. As far as price, you will generally and literally get what you pay for. So when looking for a photographer, the idea is you look for a photographers who’s work you like and that “moves” you in some way. This process is more important and more beneficial than you may at first think.

Eventually you will hold your breath a bit and take the plunge: your first step toward transforming your social media presence.

Take your time. Have fun with it.
