Tomorrow, we cover one of the forgotten horror movies of the 80s: House! The 1985 movie stars William Katt, George Wendt, Richard Moll, and Kay Lenz, with a story by Fred Dekker, screenplay by Ethan Wiley, and directed by Steve Miner, who directed Friday the 13th Part II! It's a great haunted house tale with some amazing practical effects.

Join us for our first entry into Die Laughing, with the first horror comedy spoof movie, Student Bodies. The poster is phenomenal, portraying EXACTLY what happens in the film. It's a weird little movie, but so worth the watch.

What do horse head bookends, a gangly super bendy Gumby-like dude, and heavy breathing have in common? They're all parts of Student Bodies, the the first horror spoof movie, in the nature of Friday the 13th and Airplane!. Released in 1981 and written and directed by Mickey Rose, childhood friend of Woody Allen, it does a good send-up of the young slasher genre.

Join us and a very special guest to talk about Tron! And Tron Legacy and Tron Ares. To a much lesser extent. But our guest has great insight into Tron and it's amazing! We also discuss the movies and TV we've been watching, as well as what games have been sucking up our time this month, including, Alien Earth on FX, Haunted Hotel on Netflix, Brightburn on Peacock, and No Man's Sky and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

The tagline for this mess of a movie could not be more true: This Ain't No Game. It ain't much an adaptation, either. They advertised them without even including the trademark red and green suits that everyone knows and loves from the Super Mario Bros. They tried to correct it by scrambling with new marketing material, but by that point, it was too late. Word of mouth sunk the movie. The irony is, if you ignore that it's based on the Super Mario Bros., the movie isn't half-bad.

Tomorrow, join us as explore a sadly underrated gem, The Last Starfighter. It's every video game kid's dream: get so good at a video game that an alien comes down and asks you to save the universe. It also featured a ton of early CGI sequences. Directed by Nick Castle, starring Lance Guest, Dan O'Herlihy, Catherine Mary Stewart, and Robert Preston.

Tomorrow, we delve deep into the computer world that is Tron! The original 1982 movie is a cult classic and... really, really weird. It's a super fun time with some of the very first CGI effects used in a movie!

Animal horror movies in the '70s had some major issues with sizing. In this movie, depending on which poster you saw, you'd assume there were either giant spiders (which there are not), or normal sized spiders trying to stop a giant man (who may or may not be William Shatner) from setting a town on fire. Either way, this movie is neither of those things, but is still highly entertaining.

Tomorrow, the spiders are coming! William Shatner fights some spiders, mostly tarantulas, despite them being well-known for rarely attacking people. But they do in this movie! It's super-weird and has an incredible ending that you won't see coming. Shatner is assisted by the talents of Tiffany Bolling, Woody Strode, Altovise Davis, and Marcy Lafferty. It's spiders like you've never seen before!

For our first entry into When Animals Attack, we're featuring Frogs, a movie that doesn't have giant frogs nor frogs actually killing anyone. It's a great eco-horror film from 1972 starring Ray Milland, Sam Elliot (almost unrecognizable without his mustache), and Joan Van Ark.

We can't tell you enough how good these three movies are. They should all be added to your collection. Timeless and just as prescient as the day they were made.
