Guess you need to do quality control checks on OSB sheathing now. Lowe's All my sheets were a 1/4" short, and I didn't realize till I unloaded and started laying it down

Just a side note, this is a 4ft deep raised platform, that's why there's no staggering, just laid and screwed down

Check out this doozie of an exterior wall! Whenever I am feeling imposter syndrome, I just think of this absolute doozie of a wall. Those horizontal nailers above and below the window aren’t even fastened to the studs, just drywall. Not that that would make any difference. Can anybody beat this?

So this happen to me a couple month ago. so yeah I was really lucky earlier this winter when one of the guy put a can of eurethane to close to the jig heater just wanted to share with you guys. At the hospital they retrive two dime size erethane from my eye luckely it didnt made anything to them got real lucky the last pic is the can hitting my thigh the bruise that i go from it.

I need help for ideas fellas. I'm doing hardie lap siding this is 3x5 roof to wall I don't have a trim bender and I'm not trying to spend $1,500 bucks to go buy one to do this I would ideally like to have some sort of flashing from the face of wall to prevent water from going back under the mud sill I poured the curb and slab while back before I knew exactly what I was going to do with this building but I'm turning it into a two bed one bath rental I don't really want to calk at the mud still and bottom of siding any ideas would be much appreciated or a solution to my problem.

I am fuming. The electrician charged me $600 to move this switch and outlet. He screwed these pieces of drywall back in and said, 'I'm a sparky, not a taper. My job is done.' He left massive gaps and didn't even sink the screws! Is this industry standard or is he just lazy? I feel like I just paid to have my wall ruined.

To the plumber who quoted me $1,200 to connect a generator to a gas line — I need you to explain yourself IMMEDIATELY.

We’re talking about a connection… to a line… that is ALREADY RIGHT THERE.

Not a full system install. Not a trench. Not a rebuild of the entire gas infrastructure.

And yet somehow this turned into a four-figure situation.

Now I’m out here staring at my own meter like I’m supposed to just accept this without question while trying to figure out if there’s a sane way to do this without taking out a second mortgage.

This isn’t a luxury upgrade. This is backup power so I don’t lose electricity for DAYS.

Make it make sense.
