Witness comes forward
🚨JUST IN:
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Witness Comes Forward in the Karmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf Case
A credible witness has come forward, and has reached out to the neccesarry authorities to give a statement—someone who was physically present at the event with his daughter. What he shared changes EVERYTHING.
According to his statement, and no I'm not releasing his name. But according to his statement Karmelo was under the tent, by himself on his phone when the incident began. He was not the aggressor. The witness clearly stated that Austin and his twin brother were NOT under the tent—they approached it and initiated a verbal exchange with Karmelo out of all the other people who were present.
Let me be absolutely clear: the witness said, "Both twins eventually jumped on Karmelo." Yes you read that right, not just Austin but both brothers. It was only after this physical altercation began that Karmelo reached into his backpack and pulled out a knife. That’s called self-defense, not premeditation.
Now let’s address the misinformation being spread:
#1 The witness clarified that the incident did not occur on school property. Please read that again for those who question Karmelo having a knife in his possession.
#2 The location was a community space, not affiliated with the school.
#3 The school in question is approximately 50 miles away from where this occurred.
This matters because many of you have based your outrage and assumptions on false information.
From the beginning, this case has been shaped by emotion, bias, and a rush to judgment—especially against a young Black boy. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Black children deserve the same legal presumption of innocence as white children. Period.
If this case were reversed—if a white child were being attacked and responded with a weapon—the conversation would look very different.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are demanding equal protection under the law.
This new testimony must be taken seriously. The facts are shifting, and they deserve to be heard in a courtroom—not on Facebook timelines filled with speculation, bias, and misinformation.
Karmelo deserves a fair trial.
He deserves justice.
And most of all, he deserves the truth to be told.
Just a little bit of research turned into a whole truth y’all need to hear…
They’re already trying to paint Karmelo Anthony as a thug online.
We’ve seen this play out too many times. The moment a young Black boy is involved in a situation, the internet and media rush to find the most “incriminating” photos—him with friends, a hand gesture, anything they can use to push the stereotype. It’s all too familiar.
Before I even started my research, I had my own thoughts:
“Maybe his dad wasn’t in his life…”
“Maybe he came from a broken home…”
But let me tell you what I found:
Karmelo Anthony’s parents have been married for over 17 years. They live in a home worth over $300,000 in Frisco, Texas—a city known for affluence and strong family communities. He comes from a healthy, stable, and loving home.
And yet, y’all were quick to crop and post pictures of him with his friends holding objects, quick to call him a thug, quick to write him off.
Why?
Because society is conditioned to expect chaos from Black boys, even when they come from love.
Now let’s flip the lens.
Did you know Austin Metcalf’s parents weren’t together? Haven’t been for quite some time.
If we’re going to talk about “broken homes,” let’s keep it consistent. But notice how they don’t bring that up. Because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
They want to protect one image while destroying the other. It’s selective empathy. And it’s not new. That's why there are two separate gofundme accounts. The mom wants her portion and the dad wants his portion.
This is why we must keep speaking up. To stop the lies before they become “truth” in the public eye.
Karmelo deserves to be seen for who he really is—not what they want him to be.
Prayers to him and his family 🙏
Eyewitness statement that has come forward and has changed the whole false narrative that has been painted.
