Personal story about Georgia's Restaurant 🫶🏾
Some have asked me why I always post Georgia's Restaurant on my timeline.
Well one reason is because Ms. Nika and Marlon believed in my platform when I first started during the pandemic.
They kind of took me and my son in when we were transitioning to a new beginning.
I started BOFLA and they were 1 out of 6 restaurants that took a chance on me.
So, I am forever grateful to the family of Georgia's Restaurant ❤️
Plus I love their food, it’s a cleaner version of soul food and I love love their pastas and salads.
I had no idea what I was doing back then, just eating food lol.
That year in 2021, I started Black Owned Food LA Restaurant Week. It was only me trying to highlight all of the restaurants throughout LA, AND get you all out to support them and help keep them open. IT WAS A LOT OF WORK FOR JUST LITTLE OL ME. I decided to put it on pause but now 🤔…
I am so happy my old phone has all of my videos from when I first started going to restaurants to highlight them. Y’all know I like to take detox breaks, so I have plenty of food footage.

I started my page in 2020 and began a brand of highlighting local businesses throughout LA and surrounding cities. Now, I help businesses with promo and consult them with social media marketing.
When I started, people wasn’t into trashing restaurant’s food and prices.
We definitely live in a different time where the internet can make or break you.
I don’t rate food, just present you with what the restaurant or chef offers and then it’s up to them to make sure they keep you as a loyal customers.
That’s it and that’s all.
