I drew this from an abstract reference. I honestly think it’s getting better. But what do you think?

It reminds me of why I think Spider-Man is one of the coolest superheroes—he’s relatable in a way that few others are. Beneath the mask, he’s just Peter Parker, someone with struggles, dreams, and everyday challenges, much like any of us. Yet, what makes him truly heroic is not just his powers, but his unwavering choice to put others first.

Despite the hardships he faces in his own life, Peter consistently steps into the role of Spider-Man, choosing to help those in need, even when it comes at a cost to himself. He teaches us that true heroism isn’t just about strength or superpowers; it's about the courage to keep going when things are tough and the willingness to make sacrifices for the sake of others. It’s a reminder that real strength is found in those who give of themselves, not because it’s easy, but because it’s the right thing to do.

"David's Confidence"

1 Samuel 17:48:

"When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine."

I often imagine David with a smile of confidence on his face when he faces Giant Goliath.

What about you? What do you think?

When I drew this picture I felt I had this kind of picture in my mind's eye.

I chose to depict him with a smile on his face. This expression, I believe, reveals the depth of David's faith in God. While others saw the giant before them, David saw the power of God behind him. The smile is a reflection of his unshakable confidence that God was with him in the battle.

When David faced Goliath, it wasn't with fear or hesitation but with the knowledge that he wasn't fighting alone. He had already experienced God's deliverance when he protected his sheep from the lion and the bear, and he knew that this moment would be no different. As he took up his sling, David's heart was filled with the assurance of victory, knowing that the God of Israel, the one who had guided and protected him, was still with him.

True courage comes from trusting in God's presence, no matter how impossible the challenge might seem. Just like David, when we face our own giants, we can smile with the same assurance that we are never alone in the battles we face.
