Praying for Dariel Taylor!🙏🏾

Dariel Taylor is asking for a living kidney donor. He is 32 years old and facing Stage 5 kidney failure. The diagnosis came without warning. In an interview with WAVY TV 10 on December 12, 2025, Dariel said, "It's been a really up and down emotional journey, I’m not gonna lie to you… I'm trying to look at it from the best way forward. And I just hope my story can just help other people going through something similar."

Dariel works as the Assistant Director of Visual Services at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. During a routine health screening at work, a nurse noticed his numbers were too high and urged him to see a doctor. Tests later showed he had a serious kidney disease called FSGS. The news shocked Dariel Taylor and his entire family. His wife Jessica Jnaé Taylor encouraged him to share his story even though he was hesitant.

Now, Dariel has begun dialysis at home while waiting for a kidney transplant. Jessica supports him every day and helps him through an extremely difficult journey. With help from the National Kidney Foundation, Dariel now has a website that shares his story and provides information for those who want to learn more. The site also explains how people can find out if they may be a match.
