Before I Forget

Howdy folks,

Part of our new formate going forward will be to answer questions from listeners and viewers. I see no reason why we shouldn’t take questions from folks on social media, either.

So, every week, we will make a post with the above image (or one similar), and that’s where you should deposit any and all questions you may have for us. If those questions are meant for a previous guest, we will do our best to reach out to them and see about getting an answer.

This should go without saying, but keep the questions friendly. Our conversations will still contain elements of war, but if your questions seem uncouth, it will be removed and you will not be responded to.

So with all that said, what questions do you have for either of us or our past guests?

Hey! We’re starting to book guests for the show, but our first few episodes upon our return will just be the two of us.

I’m not quite understanding where this new group of listeners are coming from, but our early shows seem to be most popular. As a result, we’re going back to our old formula and the occasional guest.

Some changes… we’re prob going to use original music. We can’t afford the tiny snippets of music from before, so we will create our own.

New logo. Something new and familiar that speaks to what we are all about, and that’s telling stories. Our new logo will tell a story. (The logo in place now is not the new one, stand by for that.)

I know there aren’t a billion people listening, so we might as well give the folks listening the best possible version of the show. We’re doing actual sound editing to the show using multi-channel recordings.

Expect a better show very soon!

We’re updating the logo. Here are some rejected ideas. We will reveal the new logo soon.

“The Roughnecks” was the name of our platoon back in Germany.

Expect more activity here; hopefully it’ll slow down your scrolling. We’re really going to start pumping out more content. We’re a group of old war fighters that are starting to fade away. The purpose of this whole thing was to preserve the memories before they get lost to old age, or worse….

I forgot what I was on about.

So, in the effort to remember how to do a podcast, I stumbled on to some unpublished episodes of the show. If you follow the show, you are gonna get a new episode notification about a show recorded back in 2023.

The world was dramatically different then, and that shows in the context of the show.

Also, I don’t know who is out there listening to our show still, but thank you for still keeping us around. We haven’t put out a new show in three years, but we’re still the #7 Veteran podcast according to these folks.
