Waiting for the noise to finally end.

Like he was nothing.

Hungry and trembling, he climbed over broken bottles and garbage bags looking for something to eat.

But food wasn’t what he missed the most.
He missed gentle hands.
A warm bed.
A voice calling his name.
He didn’t know what he did wrong.
He only knew he still wanted to be loved.

No animal deserves to be treated like trash.
Sometimes all they need is one person willing to care.

They loaded every piece of furniture.

He ran as fast as he could.
He chased the truck until his legs gave out.
