Raymond McAnally (pronounced RAY-Mund Mack-uh-nally) is an award-winning American actor whose credits include stage, television, and film. Television credits include a supporting role in Black Mirror: San Junipero, winner of the 2017 Emmy for Best TV Movie; Guest starring roles on Better Call Saul, Modern Family, Chicago Fire, Rizzoli & Isles, Law & Order SVU, Royal Pains, and 30 Rock; as well as

roles on Boardwalk Empire, Nurse Jackie, Mozart in the Jungle, among others. Feature Film credits include The Revival, Compliance, I Don’t Know How She Does It, Ghost Town, among others. Theatre credits of note include God’s Ear (Off-Broadway) The Vineyard Theatre; Casa Valentina, Pasadena Playhouse (*award winning); One Man, Two Guvnors, Repertory Theatre of St Louis (*award winning); Mrs. Mannerly, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati & TheaterWorks Hartford (*award winning); The Foreigner, Cincinnati Playhouse (*award winning); Defending the Caveman (National Tour, One Man Show); among many others. His one-man show, Ray McAnally’s Size Matters, was filmed before a live audience and is now available as a comedy special on Amazon. Raymond has also starred in over sixty comedy shorts featured online by FunnyOrDie.com, Fullscreen, CNN, New Media Rockstars, and The Food Network. Raymond holds an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University and a BA in Philosophy from Sewanee: The University of the South.

An hour North East of Las Vegas sits Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada’s first state park. 90 years ago this park designation began to preserve these geological formations, incredible ecosystems, and views. Views that have been in films and commercials because they’re visually so iconic. I’m grateful for the protection of these public lands. Let’s go out and enjoy them.

Like art, some buildings are created to represent a vision. A mission. I always note when that vision and mission are carved in stone. And I note especially, with great pains, when what is etched in permanent reminder on the exterior, is no longer what is happening on the interior. Much like when a person’s thoughts, words, and deed do not align, I question the character of those actions. When an inspiring vision is reduced, commanded, and limited – it says far more about those who’ve twisted the mission, than it does those who believe the original intent was worth pursuing.
