Here’s what’s been going on these last few weeks! ☺️👇🏼
We had our embryo transfer almost a month ago and a few days after, James was like, “so are we testing?!” Haha. Once he said it, it was harder to be patient, so on day 5, we tested & got the faintest little line 🥹
On day 9 (post embryo transfer), we went in for the hCG blood test and my results were positive but it was slightly low (30 hCG), so my doctor said the most important thing is that the numbers double every 2 days. And 2 days later, they more than doubled and were 87 hCG!! Then, 2 days later, it was 260 hCG!! So it was so so reassuring to hear.
A week and a half later, we went in for our first ultrasound, (which is so awesome we can go in so early for one!) and we saw a tiny little cute sack with a little flickering heartbeat! It was so surreal that this little microscopic embryo just a few weeks ago is already developing SO MUCH!
So now each week, we’ll go in and at week 9 we graduate from our IVF clinic to my regular OBGYN
I’ll continue the progesterone injections that I’ve been doing daily (that have thankfully gotten much much easier!!) until I’m 10 weeks pregnant!
It can be a little nerve wracking still, but we’re taking it step by step and really really grateful for each new milestone 🥹🫶
