How is McDonald’s going to fire me, saying they got me on camera “stealing” these two quarters from the cash drawer? I saw the video—you can clearly see me swap them out for two quarters I had in my pocket. I saw they were from the 1950s and thought they were cool—no harm, no foul, I thought. Ohhhh, but because they were in the drawer, they belonged to the restaurant, they say 🙄. I call B.S.—50 cents is 50 cents; prove me wrong 😤. I replaced the money—there is no theft. I’m on my way to a lawyer’s office right now to see what my options are for suing them for wrongful termination.

To my daughter who thought hiding things in my house meant I wouldn’t find out…

I went into that bathroom and found what she’s been keeping behind my back, and that was enough for me. I’m the one running this house, not a 14 year old deciding she gets secrets and privacy like she pays the bills. So I didn’t sit there and “talk it out.” I dragged everything out, clothes, sheets, school stuff and got rid of all of it in one go right in the driveway.

Now everyone’s acting shocked because she’s outside crying like I just ruined her life. Meanwhile I’m the one who had to deal with what I found in my own home. If anything, I handled it quickly instead of letting it keep going under my roof.

I even swapped her door out so I can see exactly what’s going on from now on, because clearly leaving her alone to “figure things out” wasn’t working. And no, I’m not replacing anything I got rid of until I know she’s actually listening.

If that makes me the problem for setting rules in my own house, then that says more about how low the standard has gotten than anything I did.

DoorDash drivers are so dramatic. Yes, I missed the calls. Yes, I didn’t answer the buzzer. That does not mean you just abandon my food on the floor outside the building entrance and disappear. That’s lazy. That’s petty. That’s disrespectful to the meal.

I don’t care if the app says “contactless delivery.” Common sense should tell you that leaving warm food on cold concrete in front of glass doors is not premium service. Bags tipped over, drinks sweating, just sitting there for anyone to grab. If you see I’m not responding, maybe try harder instead of giving up in thirty seconds.

So yeah, I took the food, went straight into the app, one-starred the driver, requested a partial refund, and wrote a full paragraph about “lack of effort and professionalism.” If you’re going to treat my order like trash, I’m going to rate you accordingly. Answering my phone shouldn’t be a prerequisite for basic standards.

As a delivery driver, I invested considerable time and effort into delivering over two hundred dollars worth of food, navigating through traffic, waiting in lines, and picking up orders. The expenses incurred, including gas, insurance, and mileage, further added to my concerns. Upon finally arriving at the customer's location, exhausted, I expected a token of appreciation for the service rendered. Instead, I was disappointed to find a ten percent tip, which seemed incongruous with the magnitude of service provided. Given the luxury nature of food delivery, it's disheartening when the effort put in by drivers is not recognized. A twenty percent tip would have been a more suitable acknowledgement of my time and energy.

Mystery hole in my roof- any ideas what might have caused this? I don’t see anything around like branches and there isn’t anything I can see with my inspection camera in the hole.

On a $63.50 bill, the suggested math turns into a $25.40 tip. That’s not a small gesture — that’s nearly half the cost of the meal added on top.
In most places, standard tipping in the U.S. generally falls around 15% to 20% for typical service, sometimes 22–25% for exceptional experiences. A 40% tip is far outside what most people would consider normal. It’s generous, yes — but it’s not standard.
Some restaurants may encourage higher percentages, especially in areas with high operating costs or specific service models. But that isn’t universal, and it’s certainly not a nationwide expectation.

I have absolutely no idea what this is. I saw it in the supermarket this morning. My colleague got a lb of it, and she trying to see what she can make with it. We saw a lot of shoppers were getting it, so it must be good.

This POS plumber that I’m paying 700 dollars to replace my toilet just left to “go grab a part”. I smelled a god awful smell and I saw this. I could smell it throughout the whole house probably getting on all my food. I’m looking to press charges cause I’m no way shape or form is the professional or the right way to go about doing this. Someone please let me know what my legal actions are.

I may be getting older, but it still blows my mind how many people are perfectly fine with kids destroying furniture for stickers I mean, this is a beautiful MCM cabinet! There are
so many other places to let them express themselves without wrecking something valuable. I was raised to respect what was an investment for my parents, and l've made sure to instill that in my own kids too.

Our 7 year old boy decided to go into my wife's purse and proceeded to remove 5 $100 bills and cut them up into pieces. He offered no viable excuse other than, "I don't know, I got bored". How would you go about teaching him the value of a dollar in light of his actions? What would that be a sufficient punishment to teach him that what he did was wrong? We want him to learn a lasting lesson from this, but also be fair in the process. What are you thoughts?

Be careful out there, folks! One of my employees at the local Beaumont Whataburger took this “$100” bill as payment for someone’s Double Whataburger plaine dry with cheese. It feels like real money, even smells like real money, but the president’s forehead is way too dang big and the “100” printings look nothing like the real ones I handle every single day. And trust me, I’d know — I’ve been working at this Whataburger since I graditated high school 5 years ago.

I found this fake bill during my end-of-night cash audit and just about lost my mind. I had to suspend the employee who accepted it (pending investigation, of course) because who knows if they were in on the scam.

After crunching the numbers and declaring a $100 loss, I made sure nobody else could pass this thing around. I confiscated it and took it home with me — better safe than sorry before someone else falls for this obviously fake bill.

So keep your eyes open, y’all. People are sneaky out here and always trying to get one over on big corporations like Whataburger!
