I love this picture! This was Groove Nation in the 90s. Top row from left to right... Me, Nina Lares, Jellybean Benitez, Jean, Ilayali... bottom row left to right... Lalo (Captain Chile), Baldomero, Rudy Rudedog (a bit distracted).
Groove Nation was established in 1993. We were at the core of Los Angeles House Music (Dance). The 90's belonged to us! Some people don't like to hear that but it's true. "Juanito, you have 3 HIT RECORDS on rotation at the SAME TIME! In L.A. only one other artist has accomplished that, DR. DRE." Those words came directly from the MD's mouth, Bruce St. James. Facts! That can't get taken away from me no matter how hard you try!
We, Groove Nation Records, was the first label on the West Coast dedicated to HOUSE MUSIC (and variations from that, Latin House, Hard House etc.) Some folks don't like to hear that either and try there hardest to discredit us... BUT I GOT RECEIPTS!
GROOVE NATION RECORDS, we were the Creative Founders of Universal Records now UMG! But Juan, those were 2 separate companies! If those companies share the EXACT SAME EMAIL ADDRESS .com ...it's the same damn company! LOL!
More to come! Stay tuned!!
