Current Condition of the Titanic Wreck in 2025 As of 2025, the Titanic wreck continues to deteriorate due to natural decay and bacterial activity. Notably, a significant portion of the port side railing on the bow has collapsed, highlighting the ongoing structural decline. In 2024, RMS Titanic Inc. conducted an expedition capturing high-resolution images, providing detailed documentation of the wreck's current state. These efforts aim to monitor the site's condition and preserve its legacy for future generations.

A surprising coincidence.

An ancient Arab proverb says: "Man fears time, but time fears the pyramids."

More than 4,500 years have passed (in theory) and these magnificent constructions still exist and, with their majesty, continue to fascinate the entire community of Egyptologists and attract thousands of visitors from all over the world.

A really curious fact about the Pyramid of Cheops, which can be attributed to a pure "coincidence" is that the figures for the speed of light in a vacuum (299,792,458 k/s) coincide with the geographical latitude of the monument today. (29° 58'45.28 "N = 29.9792458°N).

They do not match perfectly according to Google Earth but the coincidence is surprising in the digits that make up both numbers.
Another curious fact.

Due to hypothetical continental drift (Supercontinent Pangea), the pyramid has moved about 45 meters since its construction.

Therefore, the builders probably not only knew the speed of light, they also knew that it would be 4,500 years before someone noticed this coincidence and built it in the right place for the drift!

A Sky Portal in New Zealand🇳🇿

To some, it may look like a portal into the distant universe. To others, it may appear as the eye of a giant. Given poetic license, both are correct. Pictured above is a standard fisheye view of the sky - but with an unusual projection.

The view is from a perch in New Zealand called Te Mata Peak, a name that translates from the Maori language as "Sleeping Giant". The wondrous panorama shows the band of our Milky Way Galaxy right down the center of the sky, with the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds visible to the right.

The red hue is atmospheric airglow that surprised the photographer as it was better captured by the camera than the eye. The above image was taken two weeks ago as the photographer's sister, on the left, and an acquaintance peered into the sky portal.
