Let’s hear it for sensory inclusion awareness in the gaming space!
Designing gaming environments is as close to our hearts as making those spaces inclusive and accessible — every project has its own set of unique considerations. Sensory aspects of gaming environments may be thrilling to some, but can alienate or trigger others, emphasizing the importance of thinking beyond physical access. The gaming audience we serve is diverse and our goal is to design experiences that all gamers can enjoy equally. Along with wheelchair accessible activations and regionally appropriate ASL interpreters, we designate quiet rooms and have sensory kits on hand to help temper the stimulating nature of gaming environments.
Accessibility is at the core of experience. All audiences deserve to experience the immersive world-building that defines live events.
July is Disability Pride Month, a time to reflect on the ways in which live events can be inherently exclusive to certain groups, and how we as producers can combat this exclusivity. This goes for audiences and crew members alike.

Congrats, Flip on an amazing FlipFest, celebrating 10 years of social learning! We are honored to take part in such an inclusive, diverse, and accessible event, and to work with an organization with such a commitment to genuine representation in the education space. After months of preparation, collaboration, and excitement, it was so rewarding to see this event come together in such a magical way.
Today marks the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City, a pivotal event in the course of LGBTQIA+ history. As we approach the end of an incredibly fun and meaningful Pride Month, we remember and acknowledge that these celebrations would not be possible without the grassroots work of trans and q***r people of color, who have always been at the forefront of q***r liberation.

Marsha P. Johnson - One of the most prominent names of the Stonewall Riots, Johnson was a founding member of the Gay Liberation Front and co-founder the radical activist group, Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries.
Sylvia Rivera - Close friend of Marsha P Johnson, Rivera co-founded the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries and was a vocal activist for gay rights and liberation.
Stormé DeLarverie - Credited with lighting the spark which ignited the Stonewall Riots, DeLarverie was a civil rights icon and popular entertainer.
Miss Major Griffin-Gracy - Griffin-Gracy is a trans woman and original Executive Director for the Transgender Gender Variant Intersex Justice Project, an organization which advocates for incarcerated transgender people, who disproportionately fall victim to the prison-industrial complex. Griffin-Gracy was an active participant in the Stonewall Riots.

We’re celebrating 20 years of ZED INK!
We started out in Ray and Julia’s 2-bedroom beach apartment, sketching designs on the living room floor, and competing with the cat for a chair to sit on. “ZED” was in reference to the Zarro name, with a nod to Julia’s English accent, and “INK” because production design, art, and pen to paper.
Our very first projects supported Xbox in their earliest days, and we got to grow up, side-by-side, with the brand. We’ve created wild events, like a midnight launch of the Xbox 360 console in the Mojave Desert, to challenging and sophisticated stage demos for Kinect and HoloLens – revealing tech that had never been shown on the world stage before.
We’ve figured out that we love highly technical precision work, but we also get down with the scrappy DIY. We’ve hired snake wranglers and Kaiju wrestlers and recently picked out dresses from Judy Garland’s personal closet. We’ve shut down 5th Avenue in Manhattan and made pals with air traffic control. We made a float for the Rose Bowl Parade, and we made friends with the cats who roam Disneyland at 4am. And we’re still telling the story about the time Chad broke his face…
We cherish not only the projects of the last 20 years, but most importantly the people and relationships. We’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented and delightful humans – we have a deep love and respect for our ZED fam: our people, clients, and partners who we’re lucky to call friends.

On Judy’s 100th birthday will commemorate the legacy of Judy in the form of a unisex fragrance .
To bring the story of this fragrance to life we met with daughter Lorna Luft to learn more about her mother. We can’t wait to celebrate Judy and have the world to experience this fragrance 🌈👠
Many of us identify with video game characters, seeing ourselves reflected in our on-screen favorite's personal style, sense of morality or just overall badass-ery. For many young Black gamers, however, the representation on-screen is altogether lacking. This is due in large part to the fact that many traditionally Black hairstyles that are either missing from popular video games, or are not particularly well animated.
Oakland-based artist A.M. Darke decided she's had enough of this lack of representation, and began recruiting a Black artists to participate in developing an Afro Hair Library, a free database of 3D Black hairstyles for gamers to utilize. This initiative is slated to launch Juneteenth 2023, and we are so excited to see so many of these inclusive creations come to life!

EXPRESSIONS – XBOX MEDIA BRIEFING 2012 Los Angeles, California, June 4, 2012 – ZED INK, Inc. brought their creative and production vision to life for the Microsoft Media Briefing for the 11th consecutive year. Held at the Galen Center in downtown Los Angeles, it kicked off the annual 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo. To the delight and astonishment of more than 3,000 media and consumers from around the world, and to the millions who watched the Show broadcast live – and commercial-free – on Spike TV, on the world wide web, and – for the first time ever – through Xbox LIVE, ZED INK brought Microsoft’s vision and messaging to life with this entertaining, high production show.
