David Weber brings An Actor’s Carol: One Clown’s Dickensian Marathon Toward Redemption to the Broadwater Mainstage this week for three performances. Weber’s one-man show is a unique and transformative adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale A Christmas Carol pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling by incorporating elements of vaudeville, clown, and mime. His kinetic performance is punctuated by moments of clarity and hilarity from his Clown’s backstory. It’s an athletic-paced experience that offers a fresh twist on Dickens timeless and redemptive tale. Weber adapted the script with Zach Hilburn and Tim Blewitt who originally directed the show.
