Thank you @mum_shortfilm for reaching out to us about mental health

Logline: When a distraught teen encounters a grieving mother at the train tracks in Silicon Valley, he must choose between his conviction and empathy before time runs out.

Writer & Director: Shruti Tewari

While this film is based on the cluster suicides in Silicon Valley in 2015, the rise in mental health issues amongst teens during the pandemic make it a very pertinent subject today. Featuring an entirely Asian American cast and crew, this project also has WOCs in key roles including Editing, Writing and Directing.

ACE Actor Kento Matsunami BTS as a ‘Arashikage Ninja Guard’ in Snake Eyes with lead actress, Haruka Abe as ‘Akiko.’

Arashikage was the ancient Japanese clan that welcomes in Snake Eyes after he saves the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach him the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing him something he's been longing for: a home. However, when secrets from Snake Eyes' past are revealed, his honor and allegiance get tested -- even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

Directed by Robert Schwentke, the film also stars Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, Takehiro Hira, Iko Uwais, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving amongst many other familiars. It is a G.I. Joe spin-off centered around the character of Snake Eyes.

AOF supporter Katherine Maya was taken too soon from us and ACE actor Andy Marques 😔

📷 @stevenlamphoto

Back in 2018 @monk_space , Katherine attended our festival as seen here. She was so kind, friendly, and bright spirited. Then without asking, she helped with load out and in👏this👏dress 👏! Then nominated herself on garbage duty! All the while, she was laughing and smiling! It got chaotic because we were so close to being charged overtime, but staff vividly remember Katherine carrying catering equipment and garbage bags so calm and we got out right at 12:01 am! Andy, do you remember too?!

Katherine, may you rest in paradise and continue being a beacon and now an angel of light. You will always be remembered❤️🙏☺️🥰☺️🤗

Stayed tuned for the full length interview coming soon on our YouTube!

Synopsis: The story unfolds with the famous Shakespeare prologue "All the world's a stage" performed by a New York Taiwanese dancer Xin Xin Chang, who confronts being replaced in a role, a marriage crisis, and finally got her visa rejected by the US . She is confirmed with COVID-19 after arrived in Taiwan and struggles against the virus in an isolation ward, fearing to die alone. While suffering, a series of dreams inspire her to reflect the meaning of this prologue: If the world is a stage with its beginning and end, isn't life meaningless either? Based on a true story.

Hello Asians on Film! If you haven't heard already, one of the first Asian reality-doc series called SINGAPORE SOCIAL is going global in just a few hours on Netflix and I hope that you will all support. This particular show will really help determine how many more shows of its kinda will be made. Normally, Netflix shows with an all Asian cast are made regionally but this one was developed and created by a team in the US and shot in Singapore for hopes of a world-wide audience. Please spread the word and share so we can continue to be represented as much as possible in a positive light. Thanks so much for your support!
I strongly encourage everyone to do this special effects and make (Body Morph) movies out of them, for real.
I like to post a lot of cool videos and photos and my drawings here to give a lot of filmmakers ideas to do special effects movies.
