I grew up with a strong, passionate mom, but also ✌️ incredible dads as role models. Divorce is tough, but it brought so much happiness that I couldn’t imagine life otherwise.. I have a lot of siblings and am so thankful for what I’ve been given; a huge part of which is because of these men.. who make me feel double the love!! 🤗
I get asked often about my name, and why I named My Magazine what I did.. 2 reasons: 1.) My Magazine is made to be yours, not just mine, and each issue is thoughtfully created with you in mind; 2.) "My" is an acronym for the first letters of both dads’ last names. My mom started calling me "Molly My" and it stuck! So, My Magazine seemed like the perfect fit when naming something so important to me. ❤️#mollymymag #greatestdadsever

It’s hard to believe we’re working on our upcoming winter issue smack-dab in summer! Here’s a look at the proof process last winter.. at this stage, we’re checking for color right before we print stacks. I don’t see the magazine bound before it hits the market - only proof sheets (👆). I receive the done-doneee version the same time as subscribers and retailers! It’s frightening (and exciting!) to come across shares on social before I’ve even flipped through. This winter, we’re using a friend’s dream as inspiration! Mermaid dreams come true in this "fit to flare" gown! When I was little, my dad would tell me bedtime stories.. he’s an outdoorsman, loves to fish and sail, and I was obsessed with mermaids, so it worked well. Whether it’s Wimbledon 🎾, or "the real" 🤪 Caesars Palace 🏛, a collection of tangibles makes memories that much more special. My grandpa and I collect matchbooks! I’ve learned so much about him through his collection, much of which, have been passed down to me - and this isn’t even a quarter of all those between us both!.. ask @simplyadrilifestyle 🙃! A little story: I stopped coloring my hair 3 years ago. When I started My Magazine, I made the choice to let go of certain things, putting whatever money I could into the business instead. I cut my hair and started fresh. First, I loved the new do and low maintenance, and bonus: gained a better understanding of chemical-free living. Second, these small sacrifices added up and allowed more freedom to take chances. Another bonus: now, I have my natural hair color back! It’s been a warm welcome 👋! One year ago, we moved from digital-only to print with big goals.. and when I started My Magazine, I knew NOTHING about publishing, so let this be a reminder to never underestimate yourself!! We’re now on stands nationwide and this season, we dropped in @barnesandnoble (!!), so if you’re not a subscriber, you can find us there! As well as in grocer chains, like @safeway, @albertsons, @heb, @krogerco, @vons, @ralphsgrocery, and @gelsonsmarkets, plus newsstands and other bookstores, like @powellsbooks, and print and digital on @amazon. Not long ago I could count our retail locations on one hand, but it’s getting harder to keep up.. so I’ll just say, keep 'em peeled 👀! This trip has me 🤤 over the thought of this recipe by @chef_daniellecampbell, inside the upcoming summer issue, which also shares how to make naturally dyed pink tortillas (couldn’t help ourselves 💕!). We released the summer issue a year ago with a ton of bridal content following my engagement, with a feature highlighting the beloved @amsale.
