This is the third time this young gentleman (maybe 9 years old) has come into my store. Every time, he has been full of yes sir's, no sir's, please's, and thank you's. He's been wanting to buy a fishing rod and reel. Today he came in with five dollars. His daddy won't let him borrow his rod anymore. Today, because of his extraordinarily good manners and politeness, he left with a $50 rod and reel AND his five dollars. Go fishing, buddy. Be a kid.

So I'm in the Chick-fil-A drive thru when I get an upsetting phone call that brought tears to my eyes. It was then when the CFA employee came to take my order. I was a little choked up and told her I had just got an upsetting phone call. She was very friendly and told me she hopes my day will got better.
When I got to work to unbag my food, I saw a cookie that I didn't order. Then, I saw a handwritten note from that same girl. All I can say is my ❤️ was so touched. For her to take time to write the note to me and give me a little extra special something, means to me that she is a true example of light in this world. I thanked God for Kayla. Her kindness is so appreciated. 🙌
Imagine if we all did an act of kindness each day like this. The world would be a better place.

"With this long overdue post I would like to introduce the wonderful Flo Osborne." Flo is 89 years young and lives in a assisted living facility. During the first lockdown and after, Flo in her little kitchen baked up to 20 yummy fruit cakes (so a little over 100 in total) for our food drive for those in need and supported us in helping other people before.
She made every single cake herself, mixed the dough, cut the fruit and then put it in her little oven. In my eyes, this is a great achievement for the community and once again clears up the prejudices that age stops one from still being part of society.
On the contrary, my frustration is that I couldn't get the local news, radio or TV to write about this wonderful woman's great work. That's why I address all the users here via Facebook, of which there are much more than in the mainstream media. Lets make Flo a social media heroine. "

"I just finished a chapter of a book I bought at Target in Columbia, MO., this morning.
Afterward, I tossed it on the ottoman and $5 fell out onto the floor. Then I found this note. The letter read...
'To the person who buys this book:
I am having a tough day. I thought maybe I could brighten someone else’s with this little surprise. Go buy a coffee, donut, or a face mask. Practice some self-care today.
Remember that you are loved. You are amazing. You are strong.
Love,
Lisa’
Wow. People are so cool."

Every human should treat others with respect & kindness. This is Vicky Denton, she’s 81 years young & every time she stops in my store she says hello & tells me that this is her favorite store. I love hearing that & because she is so kind, on one shopping trip right before Easter last year I told her the books would be no charge. Today she returned some books & I told her go grab a bag full of books and let’s call us even. I love making her day because she makes my day. ❤️ Being kind doesn’t take much.

"My barbershop is located in an old mining town called Rouyn-Noranda in northen Canada. I opened here because there were no other barbershops, only hair salons, which is something completely different. Wyatt showed up with his mother during the first week I was open. He was my first child who had special needs. I figured out how to work with him by getting down to his level. These moments are very special for me. I'm taking great pride barbering here and my community is amazingly supportive towards my shop. People drive up to 4 hours to get a haircut. We usually start by having a candy together and we walk around the shop looking at everything on the walls. The shop is packed with gifts from clients. We can also put some music on vinyl during the haircut. I'm never typically driving the haircut, I simply follow the lead of the child. It takes me more than an hour to finish with a special needs child. It is worth every minute."

"Don't normally do this but I had to. I snapped this picture for a reason. The older gentleman in this picture noticed the younger one reading a book. And just sat down and asked him questions about the book and what his next steps are as far as his education and future. Then he took his information and offered him mentorship and opportunities. Now these two men don't know one another at all. But I share this because this is what's missing. This is not shown by media. Black men holding each other down to better the next generation. THIS is what needs to be done! It was amazing for me to see this on my train ride into work. Might not mean much to some. But to those that see will see the bigger picture, this is for you. Remember, "Each one, Teach one." Have a blessed day."

"I promised myself that this year I would make people understand autism. Every year people make out their goals or wishes for the year. My main wish for this year is to make the "judgers" understand.
When you find out you are going to be a mom, you dream of holding your little baby for the first time, you dream of dressing them up, showing them off and obsessing over their every move. You dream of their first word, the first time they will clap their hands, the first time they wave goodbye and of course their first steps. All of the “normal” things.
Well in my house these things are far from normal. Yes we had some of them, but they have disappeared. Words were lost, milestones missed and many tears were cried along the way. This is not “laziness” on his part. It is not him being stubborn and it most certainly is not him acting up.
My little boy is just like your child, he loves to dance, he loves to be cuddled, he cries when he falls, and he adores Mickey mouse. He is however “wired differently."
The small things we take for granted every day are the hardest things for him to cope with. Different lights, sounds, smells or even the look of something can cause an overload that is too hard for an adult to deal with, let alone my little boy. "Normal things" such as going shopping, playing in a kids playzone, or even a hair cut can be unbearable for him.
To the people that stare at him because he hums, join in with his little singsong, because in his eyes he is singing the best song in the world.
To the mothers that pull their children away from him, you are creating the bullies of the future. Children don’t notice the differences they just want to play, let them.
To the lady that called him bold in the supermarket, try to look at things from his perspective. An overload of colours and sounds. People whizzing past you. You too would cry your eyes out if you could not tell anyone how you are feeling when it all gets too much.
To the friends that have disappeared, I hope this never knocks on your front door. I

"Aria and I saw this man shopping while we were at Walmart this morning. She stopped him to ask if he was Santa. He said yes and wished her a Merry Christmas as he walked by. Her eyes lit up and she got a huge smile on her face and we continued shopping. A few minutes later, he found us in another aisle and asked if we had a couple minutes to talk. It's Santa, of course we have time to talk!!! He chatted with her a bit...asked her how old she was, her name, what she wanted for Christmas, etc. Then he grabbed some Christmas candy he had put in his basket and gave them to her along with $10 to purchase them. She even had enough extra that she was able to buy a chocolate surprise toy each for her sister and herself, that they've been eyeing by the register every time we go!
Dear Santa, 🎅
