Over the years of the tub overflowing, the ceiling started falling tiny pieces by tiny pieces so im ripping it out.

Ive lived in this house my whole life and had thought it was fully updated from nob and tube. The basement was atleast.

No I didnt have all the proper gear. Yes I wore a respirator, yes I sprayed it while I knocked it down to keep dust down. Yell at me later.

I did find a waterline joint close to failing(basicly already has).

Good thing for my neighbor Plummer and my friend the electrician (a sub i worked around a lot while i was able to do construction lol)

Wanted to make sure this new dryer power cord was the right size (cause somehow I got the wrong one) and this outlet set out a fireball at me and shocked me the moment I tried plugging it in šŸ„¹šŸ‘šŸ» (all the black on my hand is from it doing that)

Is this because I did not have the cable hooked up to the dryer before plugging it in to the socket?

Can I use needle nose pliers wrapped in electrical tape to remove this?

Connection in heated driveway panel (Northeast USA) failed catastrophically while relative was on vacation (yikes!) Luckily, was limited to this one spot. The breaker (2nd image, #8) did not trip, nor were there any other signs of failure or tripping anywhere else in the house.

Any idea what could have caused this? Was this just a surge, equipment failure, installation issue, something else?

ETA: the controller brand is "Warmup"

Can anyone tell me what the deal with these blue wires are? Just moved into a new place and noticed these hanging from the back of the breaker. As someone who knows nothing about how this stuff works it freaked me out thinking they might be live? Or Iā€™m just overreacting and this is normal considering they are pretty neatly tied šŸ˜…

I ended up hiring another electrician and he replaced the neutral bar. Still same problem but we did isolate it further....

I ended up hiring another electrician and he replaced the neutral bar. Still same problem but we did isolate it further. We used a multimeter and measured each outlet while underload via a hairdryer and determine that some of the outlets would drop only 2-3V while some would drop by as much as 20V on the same circuit. So there is a loose connection somewhere in the house. We unfortunately didn't have enough time to figure out where but we will do that next time. I am open to any other suggestions.

Called an electrician because I noticed LED lights flickering a lot under load or they would get dimmer. Looked at the panel and he told me it needs to be replaced and will cost over 5K. Want to look for other opinions

Is it safe to just replace the bulb and carry on? Seems suspicious that all three bulbs had the same issue and died after only after 1 year of use.
