"Huxley was a little boy full of laughter, adored by his parents, Alisha and Brendan. But after catching COVID, he didn’t recover as expected. Tests revealed fluid on his lungs, and a biopsy confirmed the unimaginable: Huxley had a rare, aggressive rhabdoid tumour.
He began targeted chemotherapy through the Zero Childhood Cancer Program. Scans briefly showed his tumour shrinking, but another tumour soon appeared, requiring radiation. Despite enduring every treatment and hospital visit, new growth eventually left doctors with no options. Huxley moved to palliative care, and a month later, he passed away, holding his mother’s hand.
By sharing his story, Alisha and Brendan hope to raise awareness and support families facing childhood cancer, giving hope that every child’s journey can matter.
