What began as a small group reclaiming their place in the water has grown into a vibrant community rooted in cultural pride, ocean stewardship, and access for all.

On September 1, 2005, The Africa Channel launched amidst a storm, literally. Our first billboard floated above a flooded New Orleans just days after Hurricane Katrina.
