Meet Moon Kim and her family: a Korean Canadian model based in Salt Lake City. ✨
Born and raised in Canada, Moon moved to Korea at 8, where she was scouted multiple times on the streets of Seoul. She wasn't allowed to pursue modeling at the time, but she kept her love for entertainment alive through music in college. After marriage and motherhood, she put that dream aside to focus on raising her children.
Years later, entertainment found its way back to her through a photoshoot with her two children. Moon initially declined, unsure if she still belonged in front of the camera. She eventually took the chance, and that photoshoot became her first booking. What followed was a string of opportunities that eventually led her to pursue entertainment full time.
Today, Moon and her family continue to book work together, appearing in projects for Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite, Reno Tahoe Tourism, and, most recently, Disney's Pixar Place Hotel, all within four years of their partnership with Prestigious Models.
For Moon, the most meaningful part of this journey isn’t simply getting back to the dream she once put aside. It’s getting to share the experience with her husband and children. She sees her family as her greatest accomplishment and takes pride in watching her children grow into hardworking, responsible, kind, healthy, and happy individuals.
Her story is a reminder that rediscovering yourself doesn’t have to mean leaving your old life behind. Sometimes, the people you built that life with are the very ones who help you discover what’s still waiting for you.
