Check out this great piece on a group of nuns working with other environmental activists to block a gas pipeline in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

In 2015, a congregation of nuns learned that an energy company planned to build a pipeline on their land. So they started a resistance movement.

Romero was an outspoken champion of the poor who pleaded for social justice during a time of widespread violence. On Sunday, Romero will be canonized as a saint at the Vatican.
