Something I think about a lot is how to make the best use of my time right now. How to be in the present, and how to savor every moment as much as humanly possible. Now that I have a son (who just turned 2!) I am hyper-aware of how quickly time can pass, and I feel really motivated to enjoy my life with a small child as much as possible.
For me to do this personally, a little preparation goes a long way. Being able to minimize stress and feel grounded are vital ingredients in enjoying the present moment. The difference between an exhausting morning where I’m grumpy and a calm morning where I feel relaxed lives in organization. The heart of Space Camp is creating systems that allow us to relax and enjoy our lives.
For me, that starts the moment I wake up. From having an organized bathroom where I can swiftly wash my face and brush my teeth, to systems in my son’s room where I can change his diaper, help him get dressed, and pack what he needs for school. To the kitchen where breakfast prep is effortless so I can enjoy my time with him, to my entryway where my keys and purse are always in the same place so I can get out the door on time (again, minimizing stress).
I’m naturally a creative, kind of chaotic person (surprising for an organizer, I know), but I also really believe in organization so I can spend as much of my time as possible living life and as little time as possible looking for my stuff and trying to manage essential daily tasks. It works for me, and I’ve seen it work for hundreds of clients too, streamlining their lives at home and grounding them so they can be present with their families.
Thoughts about this? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to chat! ❤️
