We’re excited to share a powerful new collaboration rooted in culture, cuisine, and community: Delicious at The Dunbar—now featuring curated art from La Mancha Gallery inside one of Los Angeles’s most historic landmarks.
Nestled in the restored Dunbar Hotel—originally built in 1928 as the Hotel Somerville and a beacon of Black excellence during segregation—this space once hosted icons like Duke Ellington, Bessie Smith, Langston Hughes, and W.E.B. Du Bois. Today, it’s alive again with flavor, music, and art.
🍽️ Enjoy Southern cuisine with an Angeleno-Mexican twist
🎷 Live jazz every Sunday—keeping the Central Avenue spirit alive
🖼️ Now through November 30: Experience “The Eye Behind the Shutter: Jimmy Velarde on Capturing Music’s Raw Soul,” a moving photography series curated by Omar Holguin (founder of La Mancha Gallery) that reveals the unseen energy of musicians in their element
Visit during restaurant hours to see—and even purchase—pieces from the exhibit.
