Pier 94 was built in the mid-1930s as part of the New York Passenger Ship Terminals. In 1964, it was dedicated as a Cunard Line terminal and handled luxury liners alongside its sister piers well into the 1970s.

The pier was repurposed in the 1980s as the “UnConvention Center,” becoming NYC’s second-largest exhibition hall, hosting trade shows, cultural events and large-scale gatherings through the 2000’s.

Now, Pier 94 is being converted into Sunset Pier 94 Studios! Manhattan’s first purpose-built film and TV studio campus. Opening in January 2026.

Sunset Studios proudly hosted ’s 2025 Writers Workshop Pitch Presentations, welcoming emerging talent as they pitched their creative projects for the very first time.

Students stepped outside their comfort zones to share original ideas with peers and industry professionals, gaining real-world experience in a supportive, professional setting.

We’re honored to support The Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program (EICOP) and their HBCU IN LA Internship Program on their mission to build pathways into the entertainment industry and help empower the next generation of storytellers.
