: A Black male student, identified as 21-year-old Demartravion “Trey” Reed from Grenada, Mississippi, was found hanging from a tree on campus at .

According to Delta State University’s Police Chief Mike Peeler, Reed was discovered on Monday morning around 7 a.m. hanging from a tree in the central part of campus near the pickleball courts.

Peeler stated that there is no foul play suspected at this time as there is also no ongoing threat to campus safety.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the incident.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

The father believes his son is in the vicinity of on a scooter. 🌴🛴
