I SPOTTED MY DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW ALIVE — EVEN THOUGH THEY "DIED" 5 YEARS AGO
As the receptionist tapped away on the computer, my gaze drifted across the lobby. That's when I saw them—right there by the little gift shop, examining a display of colorful seashells, stood two people who looked exactly like my daughter, Pamela, and her husband, Frank.
But it wasn't possible. Both had died five years ago, leaving a void I could never fill. What were the odds of seeing two people with such an uncanny resemblance to them, here, on this day?
"Ma'am, your room key," the receptionist's voice barely reached me, like it was coming from far away.
Without taking my eyes off them, I grabbed the key blindly, my heart pounding. They were already moving toward the exit, turning away from the shop.
"Hold my bags," I said, my voice thick with urgency. "I'll be right back."
I hurried across the lobby, each step feeling heavier than the last, my breath coming in sharp gasps. My mind was racing, memories and hope blending into a blur. Could it really be them? How was that even possible?
"Pamela!" I called out, my voice echoing through the lobby, desperate and raw.
The woman turned, and in that split second, our eyes met. Her expression shifted, shock and recognition flashing across her face. My chest tightened, and I felt a rush of emotions surge through me—grief, disbelief, and a fragile, impossible hope.
I could barely find my voice. "Is it… really you?"👇 See less See less See less See less
