I haven’t slept well for days

It’s 05:55am and I am heading to the National Park in Nairobi

I went to the roof top where I got a breathe taking view of the city of Nairobi

I think my documentary on Kenya will be the best one yet lol

But I had fun especially hearing the Kikuyu people sing on the roof top, I couldn’t understand what they were saying but the sound of their voice was marvelous

I visited The Nairobi National Museum today to learn more about the amazing country Kenya

It was filled with knowledge

I was most fascinated to learn that ear piercing for men was part of their pre colonial culture

And I learnt about the man who had a bullet in his chest for 34 years. He got the bullet while fighting for Kenya’s freedom

I learnt how the Indians came to Kenya

Learnt about the origin of Islam and Christianity and so many other things

Most of what i learnt will be featured in my YouTube video about this country

There’s just so much to do in Kenya

I honestly don’t know where to start from

But first things first I need to make new braids cauS theses ones are old

For those of you asking why I haven’t been posting videos recently, most of the content I make here will be for YouTube. They are longer videos.

So I will have to wait until I get back to my base to work on the videos properly and upload them

I may have experienced a theft but I equally did experience something beautiful in Africa too

I believe this story needs to be told

When I was leaving Gitega Burundi, I forgot my phone in the hotel room I stayed in

The cleaners were already there to clean the room when I left

I realized my phone wasn’t with me after I left the hotel so I quickly ran back to pick it

I was scared that the cleaners probably took it already especially because it’s an iPhone, quite attractive thieves

But before I got to my room one of the cleaners, a young man in his twenties was already running downstairs with my phone in his hand

He gave it to me with a smile on his face. He didn’t say anything else cause he doesn’t speak English.

I said “Thank you” sincerely hoping that he at least understood that

I know this story could have been different, because the guy and the others (about 3 other guys) had ample time to steal the phone but they didn’t.

And this happened in a country with a struggling economy, a country the Media calls the poorest country in Africa.

Proof that stealing is a choice and not everyone is a thief.

That was proud moment for me even though I wasn’t Burundian
