Did you know that if you're a member of Stuntwomen's Association of Motion Pictures (SWAMP) you're eligible to join Film Powered?
For those that don't know what it is, Film Powered (www.filmpowered.com) is the free, membership-based international community of over 2,000 vetted women in film & tv offering career advancement classes, social events, job postings, a searchable membership directory and an internal Avail Check system specifically requested by one of the studios to be used to find women to employ.
Film Powered was created to increase the skills and strengthen the contacts of and relationships between our members in an effort to address gender parity in the industry. Think of it as a cross between MeetUp and LinkedIn but specifically for women in the biz.
You can read about Film Powered as featured in Forbes here -

If you're eligible I hope you will please join us!
Each year The Reel Cowboys honors those who have greatly contributed to Western Television and Film. I am especially excited as I have been asked to serve as Master of Ceremony for this years Ceremony which will honor RL Tolbert, Patrick Wayne, Dawn Wells, Johnny Crawford, Robert Carradine and Billy Zane. Each of these honorees has exhibited a large body of work which many of us have seen while enjoying Westerns.
The Reel Cowboys is a non-profit organization and donates proceeds from their event each year to a charitable cause voted on by their Board of Directors and members. I am proud to share that this year they have chosen Ta**us World Stunt Awards Foundation which benefits injured stuntmen and woman each year who have been injured while making movie magic. Being a part of this “stunt” Family and witnessing first hand how debilitating injuries affect friends and loved ones I support this decision 100% and hope you will too. The “hand up” that Ta**us provides for those in need has helped many in our industry. I would like to see this continue for future generations of stuntmen and women who go out on a line each and every day while filming action scenes.
The Reel Cowboys has recognized not only actors, actresses, producers, but stuntmen and woman, motion picture livestock producers and more who have ensured the success of Western Movies. My hopes is that the Stunt Community, Wranglers, Motion Picture Livestock Producers and all who love Westerns and Action come out in full force this year to support The Reel Cowboys. Keeping in mind all proceeds will benefit injured stuntmen and woman.
You may choose to join us by purchasing a table and invite your friends, a ticket or donating something for our Silent Auction.
I would like to invite you to The 2018 Reel Cowboys Silver Spur Awards Ceremony September 21st held at The Sportsman’s Lodge in Studio City. Doors open at 5pm and gourmet dinner will be served at 6:30pm.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact myself or Robert Lanthier ~ 818-395-5020.
