Fallout Entertainment

Fallout Entertainment Fallout Entertainment is a rock solid film, music video, and television production company hailing from the Venice/West Los Angeles area.

Owned and operated by Director Bill Fishman, Fallout built up its reputation in the early days of MTV for the consistently strong videos it produced for bands such as The Ramones, Hank Williams Jr., The Georgia Satellites, George Clinton, The Living End, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Suicidal Tendencies. Those early videos have become classics and Fallout has continued into the 2000’s making clips for artists like The White Stripes, Eminem protégé King Gordy, Crispin Glover, Sir Mix-A-Lot and MTV favorites Good Charlotte. Overall, Fallout’s music video division has produced a vast number of music videos for both major and minor record labels, making it one of the oldest surviving music video production companies in the Universe (virtually all of the other stalwarts have long since faded from memory). Fallout also is active in production of commercials and television development. In the movie making community, the feature films that have been developed and produced through Fallout include “Tapeheads” starring John Cusack and Tim Robbins, “Car 54, Where Are You?” starring David Johanson, John McGinley, Fran Drescher and Rosie O’Donell, “Posse” with Mario Van Pebbles, Tone Loc, Billy Zane and Stephen Baldwin, “Desperate But Not Serious” starring Christine Taylor, John Corbett and Claudia Schiffer and most recently, “My Dinner With Jimi” with Justin Henry, Royale Watkins and George Wendt. Being long-time respected veterans of the field has enabled Fallout to create long-term relationships with record labels, casting agencies, production crew, post facilities, talent agencies, actors, athletes, musical talents, etc. These strong relationships have allowed Fallout to work within any budget range, and still create an impeccable product that warrants repeated viewings. Fallout has worked in almost every genre of film and video production. From Feature Films to Television, Commercials to Music Videos, EPK to PSA’s these ambitious film & video-makers are consistently capable of delivering the goods.

The Decemberists - Make You Better (Official)

Director Bill Fishman and Producers Brett Kerr & Doug Dearth.

“The Decemberists have unveiled the silly new visuals for “Make You Better” starring Parks and Recreations’ resident steak-eating man’s man, Ron Swanson — er, sorry — Nick Offerman. Running for almost seven minutes, the Bill Fishman-directed clip plays out like a Between Two Ferns-meets-Anchorman spoof, where the band visits a ’70s-era German talk show called The Old Blue Rock Palace Show. Offerman plays a bumbling interviewer who keeps screwing up everyone’s names, including the song title’s (“Make Me Butter”), while simultaneously trying to make amends with his blonde producer love interest. “Colon” Meloy’s white overalls and porn-star beard are pretty impressive, too.
Watch the clip above, and grab the Decemberists’ What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World on January 20.”

TIME MAGAZINE: Brief performance exists at the intersection of humor and pain
“We know Nick Offerman best as a man’s man, a man of few words whose stoicism rarely betrays the emotions within. And that’s why the times when he does express an ounce of sadness or regret cut a little bit deeper. In this video for the Decemberists’ “Make You Better,” Offerman gets laughs as a fumbling German talk show host interviewing lead singer Colin Meloy. But it’s his portrayal of longing and insecurity that makes the performance memorable.
Though he’s all moustache and bravado on the outside, Offerman’s character faces that familiar pain of unrequited love, and a nerve too weak to proclaim it. As he struggles to find the right words, the Decemberists play a song of need and regret to match the shape of his wound. The premise is funny, but the execution, a little bit heartbreaking.
“Make You Better” appears on the forthcoming album What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World, which drops on Jan. 20.”

Below is an email Fallout recently got concerning the Dream Theater "The Enemy Inside" Video!

Hey everyone,

Below is an email that came in from an active duty Air Force officer after seeing DT's latest video...wow...now, he's enrolling his entire squadron, maybe the entire base, in a fundraiser to sponsor the November cohort that is the subject of next year's feature documentary 'Thank You For Your Service'.

The 'so what' is that this cohort will be comprised primarily of Marines who inadvertently shot up a convoy of fleeing innocent civilians during the opening battle for Baghdad; a tragic and regrettable event that later became the subject of a story in The New Yorker entitled, 'Finding the Kachadoorians', which recalls one Marine's desperate attempts to locate the surviving family members in hopes of making amends. I won't ruin the ending, and you definitely want to read this article...one can only imagine the moral injury sustained by this squad of Marines. You cannot begin to imagine the suffering these guys have gone through over what they can never undo.

Anyway, just wanted to share with you how your work has already rippled beyond what you may have expected. I cannot thank you enough to know that the benefactors for the November cohort will be Warriors themselves

Y'all made that possible...take that in, because you probably just save the lives of ten to twelve Marines. And you made it possible for me to continue doing the only thing I've ever loved.

With immense and eternal gratitude,
