In celebration of Black History Month, we present "The Faith Walker" to some and introduce the character to others. In 1990, young and ambitious cartoonist Clint D. Johnson was inspired by an Apostolic sermon, which sparked the question: “Why don’t superheroes quote scriptures?” The answer that resonated with him became Faith Walker, the Hero Who Gives God the Glory! Johnson received an opportunity from Annie Pierce, a community newspaper publisher, to have his creation appear in print. Faith Walker’s journey began in the Los Angeles Community Circle Clipper, circulating in the historic Leimert Park and beyond. Since those early days, Faith Walker has been featured in full printed comics, web comics, and graphic novels. He has also made appearances in several crossovers, including Red Anvil’s "War of the Independents," and is a part of the epic 192-page graphic novel "EPIPHANY ENGINE" by Advent Comics. The Faith Walker journey includes Sunday School curriculums, comic spin-offs, merchandise, and live stage performances. The title is placed Biola University comic collection and was named the #1 Christian hero by Relevant magazine. The Faith Walker and his core cast consistently deliver inspiring messages rooted in Christian faith, cultural relevance, and the power of scripture, using the Word of God as their weapon to combat evil and spread light into dark places. Get acquainted with The Priestly Patrolman’s past works and keep an eye out for new content as he embarks on his 35th year in 2025.
