Interesting hard plastic material version of what years ago John Carruthers used on my fretless bass to protect the neck Vs a poly coating that I originally used for years like Jaco . John replaced the spray coats technique with a sheet of Mylar with a pull off paper backing that he could cut to size and then apply to the neck of the bass, removing the paper backing on the glue side, then clean up the edges with a tiny bit of solvent. The coating has lasted me for years.
But this was not for fretted basses like the product being introduced here which is easily removable and can easily convert a fretted to fretless and back.
