It’s more important to understand someone than to judge them. We think the first step to understanding someone is asking them the fundamental questions about who they are and how they became the person they are today. Understanding and empathy are essential building blocks for a better, more compa...

As a former Viral Marketing intern at , I’ve developed a strategy to quickly grow social media accounts from scratch. Here’s a detailed breakdown of “The 9 Post Theory,” a method I used to take accounts from zero followers to viral status:

1. Post 8 reels, spread out over 2-4 weeks, posting every 1-3 days.
2. Each reel should cover a different topic, day/event or niche.
3. Recreate successful reels. If a reel performs exceptionally well, recreate it twice.
4. Use emotional appeals: happy, funny, inspiring, exciting.
5. Analyze & replicate viral content from other creators.
6. Highly recommend using trending audios with less than 5k uses.
7. Like & comment on recent viral posts in your community. This is good for visibility.
8. Use to automate leads. Generate interaction with followers who like or comment on your content by sending them a DM.
9. Finish off “The 9 Post Theory” with an informational post (not a reel) about your brand to generate leads to your product, services, or links.
10. Continue rolling out 9 posts at a time to organize your content and grow your page.

How to Apply the Theory

This strategy is great for new accounts just starting off to get a grip on their brand. It allows you to target different audiences simultaneously and truly understand what your followers like, instead of just chasing viral trends. Replicate the theory with new content, recreating successful reels from the first round. Recheck your progress every 9 posts and include an actual post to generate leads.

How I Applied the Theory

Using this method, I was able to gain over 350 followers within 3 weeks. This generates a mass amount of views within a short number of days by organically connecting with followers & creators in your niche - letting your content get noticed by those who already engaged with similar content.

This method has been proven successful in the viral marketing music sector for building fan communities and can be adapted to various niches to boost engagement and grow your follower base quickly.
